Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how OwnWorks uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on JoinOwnWorks.com.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage, which work similarly. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies".

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary: authentication and session

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your role, and protect against CSRF and session hijacking. These cookies are essential. The Platform will not work without them.

Functional

We remember UI preferences such as your dashboard view, last-used filters, and notification dismissals.

Analytics

If enabled, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are used and to improve the Platform. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Our authentication provider (Supabase) and payment processor (Stripe, on billing pages only) may set their own cookies necessary for security and fraud prevention.

4. Managing Cookies

You can clear cookies or block them via your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent core functionality.
